Metal wire bail closure also called a lightning-style sealing system or just lightning seal
Original rubber seal
Bottom has the Hazel Atlas logo and the numbers 5056 and 10
These jars were produced from the early 1900s to the 1950s
The metal wire bail is in very good condition
There is a very small chip in the top that cannot be seen when the lid is intact
A very small piece of the original rubber seal is missing and another is loose
Light clouding inside of the jar - common for age, use and storage
These distinctive jars have a variety of uses, limited only to your imagination
